SHPE National
Founded in 1974, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Inc. – SHPE – is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes Hispanics in engineering, math and science. SHPE currently includes 135 student chapters with more than 6,000 student members and 36 professional chapters with over 1,500 professional members. SHPE is committed to helping our nation fill a growing need for engineers and scientists. SHPE professionals are leaders in their own communities and are a part of a nationwide network that promotes continuous growth of each member’s skills and experiences while they also serve as tutors, mentors, and role models for SHPE student members.
